Our team of professional, friendly staff are dedicated to making your visit as comfortable as possible. We constantly strive to achieve high levels of care and enjoy the close interaction that is required to achieve outstanding dentistry. We are also proud to offer the services of qualified dental hygienists. The role of the hygienist is to maintain the health of your teeth and gums through education and a routine cleaning program By preventing dental disease we can maximise the lifespan of your teeth and fillings.

For our younger patients we also have dental therapists on our staff. Our therapists are highly skilled in diagnosing and treating conditions in children and teenagers. All of our staff are happy to discuss any issues you may have about dentistry and the services we provide.

DR. STEVE MASON

Dentist

Dr. Steve Mason graduated in 1988 from Adelaide University with a Bachelor or Dental Surgery. After a 10 year career in the Royal Australian Air Force he entered private practice in Adelaide in 1996 and has been the principal dentist at Walkerville Dental since 1998. He is strongly committed to the profession of dentistry and regularly attends courses to maintain his skills and knowledge. He is also an active member of numerous societies and committees. In recognition of his contribution to the profession of dentistry Dr Mason was made a fellow of the Academy of Dentistry International in 2017, and in 2019 a fellow of both the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the International College of Dentists. Dr. Mason has also lectured to many local associations such as Rotary, Zonta, Probus, Australian Prosthodontic Society, Southern Cross Nursing Homes, City Child Care Centre and Australian Defence Force Reserves. Other contributions to the wider community include volunteer dentistry for Tibetan refugees in India and also Aboriginal communities in Arnhem Land. In 2013 he established Legacy Smiles to provide free dental treatment to the children of Legacy in South Australia. Currently Dr. Mason is a Wing Commander in the RAAF Reserves.

DR CAMILLA LOCK

Dentist

Dr. Camilla Lock graduated in 1993 from Adelaide University with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. After graduation she worked in private practice in Launceston, Tasmania for two years. in 1995 she returned to Adelaide and continued full time private practice. She has worked part-time at Walkerville Dental since 2000. Her membership of dental committees and societies has included:

In 2017 Dr. Lock was elected as a Fellow of the Academy of Dentistry International in recognition of her work within the dental profession.

DR ALICE NASSERY

Dentist

Dr Alice Nassery graduated in 2005 from The University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. She has worked in private practice since, and joined Walkerville Dental in 2017.

Dr Nassery has been a Chairperson of the Recent Graduates Committee for ADASA, as well as being a member of the following organisations:

Australian Society of Prosthodontics
Australian Society of Periodontology

Dr Nassery has been involved in clinical teaching and mentorship of undergraduate students at The University of Adelaide. She has also volunteered for the ADASA kindergarten oral health program.

Dr Nassery regularly attends continuing educational courses to further her knowledge and skills. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, and is enthusiastic in helping patients achieve and maintain their best possible oral health.
