DR. STEVE MASON
Dr. Steve Mason graduated in 1988 from Adelaide University with a Bachelor or Dental Surgery. After a 10 year career in the Royal Australian Air Force he entered private practice in Adelaide in 1996 and has been the principal dentist at Walkerville Dental since 1998. He is strongly committed to the profession of dentistry and regularly attends courses to maintain his skills and knowledge. He is also an active member of numerous societies and committees. In recognition of his contribution to the profession of dentistry Dr Mason was made a fellow of the Academy of Dentistry International in 2017, and in 2019 a fellow of both the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the International College of Dentists. Dr. Mason has also lectured to many local associations such as Rotary, Zonta, Probus, Australian Prosthodontic Society, Southern Cross Nursing Homes, City Child Care Centre and Australian Defence Force Reserves. Other contributions to the wider community include volunteer dentistry for Tibetan refugees in India and also Aboriginal communities in Arnhem Land. In 2013 he established Legacy Smiles to provide free dental treatment to the children of Legacy in South Australia. Currently Dr. Mason is a Wing Commander in the RAAF Reserves.
